Task 1- Hardware components
1. Motherboard- The motherboard is a circuit that links hardware components together to allow them to communicate and receive power through a bus system. The bus is a series of wires that transfers data packets between components.
2. CPU- The CPU (central processing unit) is the ‘brain’ of a computer. It carries out all calculations and instructions from software/hardware. It works by taking input data from input devices like the mouse or keyboard, processes the data and produces a form of output like a program opening.
3. RAM- Ram (random access memory) is a type of volatile (meaning it needs power to maintain data) memory that can have any byte accessed directly at any given time. The hard drive temporarily loads data for programs that are open into the ram because it can be accessed by the

One of the most talked about features of Windows 10 is Cortana the voice controlled virtual assistant. Cortana can be used to help manage time by setting alarms or reminders, answer questions on nearly anything using the web, get directions, send emails and most importantly tell sassy jokes without the user having to lift a finger.
Windows 10 saw the return of the familiar start menu which was replaced by a page of tiles linked to apps in Windows 8. The new start menu has the same layout used since the early versions of windows, but incorporates some of the live metro style tiles that can be customised.
Microsoft edge is the new default browser that replaces internet explorer. In edge webpages can be annotated/ doodled on and sent to a friend in note taking mode, pages can be stripped back to basics with images and adverts removed for easier reading in reading mode, and it also has Cortana integration.
The Xbox app can be used to stream Xbox one games to any Windows 10 PC or tablet, with improved speed and graphics performance through DirectX 12 support. It can also record, edit and share gameplay, and access Xbox
