Introduction
Hello Mister/Madam President,
I come to you with no intention of high casualties, but with a solution to this war. I propose that we take the bull by the horns and drop our nuclear weapons on Japan.
Overview/ Summary of Current Situation
Japan
Current political and military position (1945)
The war is showing no signs of ceasing, Japan believes that by withstanding the war even a little longer will lead to mass American casualties which in turn will result in changes to the already written Potsdam. Japan is currently worried about Russia breaking their Neutrality Act. This country has a history of refusing surrender, and they will give more and more lives to this war.

We are losing men, materials, and money. Japan is acting immature and irrational and by providing the Potsdam and multitude of leaflets we have done our best to protect their civilians.(Harry S. Truman Library, Miscellaneous historical document file, no. 258) Japan's unethical decision to refuse our charity has unfortunately lead us to our final option, Nuclear Warfare.
This decision will lead to a numerous amount of Japanese casualties, but no more than if the war continues.
By dropping this bomb Japan and their allies could retaliate with similar military tactics.

Conclusion
Japan has unrightfully stolen enough lives and resources from this war and we need to show to them that we are not to be messed with. We, as the United States of America, need to prove to Japan and the rest of the world that our country is not one to trifled with. How many more have to die before we stand up for rights, our people, and our dignity? This is no longer a time to be generous or gentle, this is the time to end the war. That is why we need to send Japan our message and drop our atomic
