Two such organizations are the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Both organizations aim to improve the quality of healthcare. AONE (2016) strives to assist in the development of healthcare by supporting skilled and creative nursing leadership. The ANA (2016) assists registered nurses to attain improved quality of healthcare through access to professional development, a method for uniting a platform in speaking on behalf of the nursing profession, and giving nursing professionals a way to connect with other nursing professionals.
