Throughout the hospital, I felt as if my efforts were making an impact as I delivered trays to patients and ensured that everyone was fed. While working as a food service associate is different from working as a nurse, I enjoyed working with my coworkers and felt inspired by the nurses who were there. Additionally, seeing patients receive their food with joy was a rewarding part of my shifts, causing me to truly feel like someone’s champion. Because of this, I am eager to see what my future as a nurse will look like, knowing that my previous work experience in a hospital helped me feel like I belonged there and made a difference in people's lives.
