Through the class modules and my reading on ethics, I understand that ethics is viewed in different ways and according to the social setting. I have learned that as an individual, our ethics guides the way we behave and our view of what is right and wrong. It is the principle that influence and govern our thoughts and decision making. In professional setting, for example nursing and healthcare, ethics are form of rules that govern the practice of how care is being carried out. (Fox., et.al)

According to Ellis (2017, pg.), there are factors with influence one's ethics. These factors can have a significant impact on the way we think, behave and our decision making. As said by Cerit and Dinc (2012), Kusano (2014), the role nursing involves helping individual to improve their health and wellbeing and also minimizing the risk of ill health. Caring for people with poor health and aiding quick recovery. Providing these services means making important decision that can affect people's life. This makes it important that nursing ethics is understood, use as a guide in everyday practice and unethical conduct is challenged.
