Nursing Philosophy I am Hayley Belzer and I have been an LPN for 9 months now. I grew up in the small town of Marceline, MO where I lived until I graduated high school. I moved to Columbia after high school and attended MACC, where I still go currently for nursing school. I wanted to become an RN because there are more job opportunities and I am able to do more with the scope of practice. I am a huge animal lover, which is kind of got me into nursing. I liked caring for the animals so much, that I thought that I could make a career for caring for people. Luckily I enjoyed caring for people also. To be a nurse you need to be respectful first of all and over time a nurse will just know what a patient needs based on past experience. Nursing has a huge impact on health care in today’s society. I practice nursing because I enjoy people and making them feel better.
