Nursing Short Term Goals

My short-term goal is to finish some prerequisites for nursing at University of Washington Tacoma and transferring into a Highline Community College and finish the rest of my core class requirements and graduate with an Associates in Pre-nursing by summer 2018. After that, I want to continue my education during the summer and start on my Certified Nursing Assistant program. My long-term goal is to finish up my two years exploring on which field I would like to acquire myself in and graduate in a University earning my bachelors of science in nursing. I would hope to work at Harborview Medical Center after and possibly chose my career path as a Pediatric Nurse. My decision on that is hoping to be a role model for younger children based on my

My hope is to finish this year with a 3.5 grade point average and I will accomplish this by staying consistent with my assignments, by not procrastinating and linking up with my professors if I need help. I plan on managing my time better so that I can have time to study, work and stay involved with the community. I will also set time for myself to reflect and take care of myself so that way I am at my best. I also plan on volunteering at different hospitals and clinics such as Sea Mar Community Health Centers and HealthPoint. Being able to expand my knowledge as an expert and educate the patients about health issues. I want to build a relationship and establish trust into letting me guide to their better health and recovery. As a future nurse, my goals are to advocate for individuals, families, and be a counselor, or a resource and overall optimize health for those who are responsible. Providing the given access to health care and continue the direct caring service along with safety.
