Extraordinarily, finding the right job can be a daunting task that most are not capable of handling. Understanding job roles can be exceedingly difficult, especially when the work positions are proportionally different in pay grade, amount of work, benefits, and so on. Teachers and nutritionists are prime examples of this difference. Although the job roles of a teacher and nutritionist are very different in ways of pay grade, job roles, and overall effectiveness to their community, the importance of both jobs dignifies those who work in the job areas. Although the salary increases with each year, the median salary for this job is only around 51,000 dollars. The highest paid teachers make an astonishing 80,000 dollars a year, however this is only the top 10 percent, most teachers will even have to pay for their own supplies due to the small funding given to them, making their salary even lower throughout the year. The lowest degree that can be owned by a public school teacher is an undergraduate degree, however if teachers work towards a master’s degree, the salary can increase exponentially based upon their current salary. Although the pay is so low, the insurance can be very cheap and the retirement plan can be frabjous. The hours of this job may be grueling however, teachers and instructors can be contracted from 9 to 12 months. Being a government job, the state gives extremely good insurance policies, retirement plans, and benefits. The salary of a nutritionist is entirely based on experience and performance, increasing whenever the standards are achieved beyond expectations, over 25 years of work, only 4 raises have been received. The market for this job is continuously growing and is “expected to grow around 22% from 2012 to 2022” (cite). The median wage as of 2013 being around 70,000 dollars. Work is less hectic than to be expected due to the benefits of a personal office and a prominently clean work environment at all times. Government funding is where most money comes from to pay for all food and equipment, while paying for this, it can also be used to promote healthier eating and advertise a good message to children.
