The tree we sampled for this experiment was a type of oak tree. In general most oaks tree pH levels should be between 3.6 and 7.0. These trees are normally best where the summers are dry and the winters are wet. As there are a wide variety of oak trees, different oak trees adapt to many different range of temperatures. Though most oak trees range from a temperature from around 45 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We tested the pH levels of the soil where our oak tree was growing. The soil had a pH level of 6.0. This shows us that our tree has a good pH level as it falls under the range mentioned above. The average height of fully grown oak trees range from between 15 to 30 meters. Our oak tree is currently only 5.28 meters, because the tree is clearly still young. All this information about trees doesn’t seem particularly important. Why does it matter if the tree is growing how it should be? …show more content…

One of the most recognizable importances of trees is that, trees provide an ample amount of oxygen. Trees provide much more benefits than just this. Trees can help prevent soil erosion, by slowing runoff and holding soil in place. Another way trees help the environment is that trees can help prevent water pollution. According to treepeople.org they do this by reducing runoff, which in turn allows the water flow down the trunk of the tree into the ground. This ends up reducing the storm water that has pollutants go into the ocean. Those are just the few benefits of trees, there are so many more than just
