On January 3, 2015, the 114th Congress with the Republicans being the majority party in Congress, in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, seated the Capitol Building. The controversy takes place in Washington D.C., the capital city of the United States, inside the Senate chamber and the House of Representatives of the Capitol Building. One of the controversies that sparked out almost immediately with Congress and Obama are the issues facing the economy, which Congress believes that Obama will not solve. Zack Colman of the Washington Examiner says in the title of the article, “Republicans in Congress Try to Block Obama Administration’s Environmental Plans.” Republicans attempt to handicap Obama’s environmental plans to help resist issues like droughts and global warming. Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the House minority leader, comments, “We want a better deal for America’s workers.” The Democrats likely thwarted Obama’s goals of more trade because Obama wanted to double the trade with every ally of the US on the Pacific coast. But by increasing the money due for the foreign countries, Obama’s wealth will increase by 40%. Meanwhile, the Republicans passed a bill that would grant the president the trade negotiation authority as long as he follows the order of it, but the Democrats voted down the bill to where Obama cannot review it to accept or veto the bill. After hearing about the Democrats’ decision, Obama attempts to play down the defeat, by commenting, “These kinds of agreements make sure that the global economy’s rules are not written by countries like China; they’re written
