One of the chief causes is diet .young people eat more and more high fat burgers and pizza in fast food restaurant .however, a lot of traditional foods are also very oily. Lifestyles have changed causing a lot of our overweight issues, many parents have secondary jobs, and do not exercise regularly. Lack of education and awareness is often a very big cause for obesity in society today. Our attitude towards food is a main contributor to being overweight .parents do not teach their children by example how to eat healthy, mom and dad's eating habits fall on their children .there is no talk on nutrition in the average home in our society. Parents nor their children realize the health issues they will face being overweight .there quality of life suffers, it becomes more difficult to move around more less exercise. Being overweight has been proven to cause a lack of self-esteem , which leads to depression ,crash diets and eating disorders .obesity or being overweight has serious effects on the individual and on society , both need to take action to examine the cause of obesity and find solutions .in our society children would rather shut themselves in.
