Obesity in the U.S The general obesity campaigns by various mediums have yielded a little result concerning the rate with which obesity is escalating in U.S. From the early 70’s, obesity statistics have tripled in children as well as adults. Currently, virtually two-thirds of American adults are either obese or overweight. In spite the attention of medical professions, the public, the media and mass didactic campaigns regarding the benefits of a healthier diet and increased physical activities, obesity continues to prevail in the U.S. Owing to the detrimental health consequences resulting from overweight and obese, there is increasing need for intense campaigns and education to the public with respect to proper diets. While this paper may not articulate every aspect of obesity, particularly biological ones, it is aimed at those who are obese or are likely to be.
