Why do people now all over the world consume a lot fast-food and convenience food than cook their selves? All of us know that fast-food and convenience food are easier to get rather than cook. There are more people consuming too much fast-food now than ever before, also the fast-food industry has expanded more than ever before. The detriment to consuming too much junk food is it can lead to diseases such as obesity. People who are obese have a higher risk of getting cancer the reason why is because people who are obese have more tissue cells and it can produce more hormones. It can produce for example, insulin or estrogen too much and may cause the cancer cells to grow. People who are obese have levels of hormones that encourage the person to have an abnormal metabolism and the gain of body fat. Gaining weight also plays a factor also may affect a higher risk for cancer. Research and studies have shown that high birth weight, gaining weight during adulthood, and also weight cycling. By maintaining a healthy weight a person would have a lower risk of cancer.

The second reason why obesity is harmful to someone’s health is because of the heart. Having extra weight makes a person more susceptible to having a trouble with the heart.
