Unfortunately, we are really busy by our own problems and forget to think about nature sometimes. This can be even worse about the problems that are related with ocean’s life because most of us are usually not going to scuba diving or the other activities that are related to the ocean. In “Obituary: Great Barrier Reef (25Million BC-2016)”the author’s word choices and the genre that he used are really wise and effective. The author could grab our attention and make us feel engaged. However D’Angelo is disagree with obituary genre that Jacobson used here ,but after reading tJacobson’s article I am encouraged to read more about The Great Barrier Reef and I am trying to join some campaign to solve these kinds of problems and prevent them from getting worse. Also, after my researches about this issue, I’ve learned about the footprint that we make and how we can reduce it. This article encourages me to read about the ways that we can go to save our earth. In my opinion all of the writers want their readers to change and act differently in better ways. This author also wants us to think about nature and try to save it. I believe that if the article can only motivate even one person to do what the person should do; the author reaches his goal. I can say that it happens to me and I hope the others start to think and act differently about nature.
