What makes objects important? They are the key to any great story. Objects can be anything that designates everything. They bring meaning to someone, additionally they can be the reason that they keep people endeavoring to succeed. Objects can connect recollections of consequential life experiences, also, cause it effortless to recollect the experience. Through life people become drawn to certain objects that have a story that is connected to them. Whether it is something that he or she learned from relatives, an accomplishment, or something that was received. It doesn't matter why we think things are important, they will always stay important. Such as a quilt, pictures, and a family regalia. In each story, the characters bulwark and hold these objects close to their hearts. They are important objects that mean more than the world to them in the situation they are in. The objects are recollections that they do not want to relinquish and are meant to recollect. In “The Things They Carried”, Lieutenant Cross most consequential thing was his love for a woman designated Martha, who didn’t dote him back. He would often think of her, when he was suppose to be attentive on his military colleagues. The main character, Jackson Jackson, showed how paramount the regalia that was once is grandma’s was to him in “What You Pawn, I Will Redeem.” He was a poor Indian who needed to get $999 to get his regalia back, because he wanted to be a hero to his family. He was proud of himself getting the regalia back, although he ended up getting the regalia for free. In “Aunt Ida Pieces a Quilt,” Aunt Ida was known by her family to be the one who can make quilts. What everybody didn’t know was that she would put her name in red thread on the back of each quilt was culminated. That was an accomplishment each one that was engendered by her.
