Since when I could remember, religions had always been close to my heart.” In the novel, Pi has practiced three religions; Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam. Pi was born in a Hindu family, but it didn’t stop him from exploring other religions. At a really young age, Pi felt like part of him was missing, and he felt like he couldn’t figure out who he is. So, Pi was introduced to two religions, and after exploring more about these two religions, he was so astonished and fascinated. He felt like he one step of knowing who he truly is, and he felt so much closer to god.
