New hockey sticks are built lighter and stronger, with different types of flex, and new types of blades on the stick. This helps the player adapt and change the way they shoot and pass. New skates help immensely because they also become lighter and become better fitting, one can “bake” the skates or heat them up to have them conform to the player’s foot better, and they can even sharpen the blades to around nine different “cuts”. Having all these factors come together, I believe Ice Hockey is the best sport because it takes a very skilled and intelligent individual to play at a competitive level.
