The Junction Boys (2002) is an ESPN movie based on a novel with a similar name by Jim Dent (1999), shows examples of this. The movie is directed by Mike Robe and stars Tom Beranger as Head Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant who in the summer of 1954 takes his Texas A&M college football players on a 10-day camp in the middle of a drought and a heat wave with temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, at Junction, Texas. Leadership (Junction Boys, 2002): Coach Bryant, the new head coach, wanted the players away from the town’s distractions to prepare for what he called “war” as he said to one parent. This movie demonstrates the task-style leadership of the coach at the beginning of the camp. “War” means how serious he was about preparing for the task and his desire to win at all costs.

The outcome of the movie, The Hunt for Red October, was that the US Navy on the USS Dallas and the Soviet Navy on the Red October were able to successfully destroy the enemy submarine, the V. K. Konovalov. Without the CIA analyst and former Marine, Jack Ryan’s convincing that the Red Octobers captain was trying to defect, the Soviet Union would have launched missiles on the United States east coast. The teamwork of the Navy’s caused the enemy submarine to be dismantled. The movie portrayed battles between two Soviet Union submarines, the Red October, the V. K. Konovalov, and a United States submarine, the USS Dallas.
In “The Boys Are Not All Right” by Michael Ian Black, the author uses different powers of persuasion to convince the audience to succumb to his opinion that men today don’t know how to properly express their feelings because of cultural norms that expressing your feelings is associated with weakness and femininity. He starts the article by drawing on the fact that almost all mass shootings have been committed by men. He says that men tend to lash out in anger because they don’t know how to properly express their feelings. He attempts to persuade his reader to start a conversation on how to make it more acceptable in society for men to express their emotions in a way that doesn’t potentially hurt others.
In the novel, All American Boys, the authors Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely, tell a story of police brutality though the eyes of the victim, African American teenager, Rashad Butler, and the classmate who saw the tragedy unfold Quinn Collins. The novel serves through the eyes as a realistic interpretation of the injustices that are happening today ranging from radical inequalities, to police brutality, which have been on display via various social media outlets. This book is an accurate representation of society today because, the characters represent different types of people when an incident involving police brutality occurs. Quinn Collins, acts as if he is too afraid to stand up and doesn 't want to face the truth about what happened,
October Sky is a true story based on the life of Homer “Sonny” Hickam Jr. It describes how he is inspired to build rockets when he sees Sputnik, at age 14. Throughout the book, Sonny has to overcome many obstacles to achieve his dream of sending rockets into space. The reason he was able to overcome these obstacles was due to his determination to work, willingness to learn, and his faith in his friends. Because of these three things, Sonny and the other Rocket Boys were able to go to college, escape Coalwood, and get jobs in which they could pursue their dreams.
