I think Odysseus fulfills the description of a hero. A hero is defined as a cunning, confidence, brave, determined and a strong leader. A hero risks their own lives for the well being of others. He uses his knowledge, his determination, and also his braveness to save him and his men. When the suitors plan to kill Odysseus son, Telemachas, Odysseus speaks up to his men, “Friends, have we never been in danger before this? More fearsome, is it now, then when we faced the Cyclops.” Odysseus displays all the characters. In the chapter “Scylla and Charybdis” Odysseus and his men were frightened that Scylla and Charybdis would either beat them or eat them.
