Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time and follow the american dream? Would it be easy or hard? Would it have a happy ending? Would you be truly happy? Or would you loose the things that you love the most? Would you take that risk? “Of Mice and Men” is a novel written by John Steinbeck. It’s about two close friends, Lennie and George, who are like family travel together from farm to farm trying to gain money to live the american dream. Lennie isn’t all there. Things don’t always work out the way you want, most work out in embarrassment and loneliness, full of discrimination. “I didn’ mean it. Jus’ foolin’. I wouldn’ want to go to no place like that” What's happening is Crooks is telling candy he was joking about wanting to live with them. The reason he is saying it is because of the way George came in and scolded candy and Lennie for being in his room. That’s what made Crooks change his mind.
