The novel “ Of Mice and Men” is a renowned literary work by John Steinbeck. A representation of the search for the elusive American dream, the novel focuses on the journey of George and Lennie as they attempt to achieve their dream. However, there are multiple obstacles in their way, chief among them being that Lennie is mentally handicapped. A bear of a man with the mind of a child Lennie does not know his own strength. This often leads to several problem as he on several occasions kills a creature accidentally. One of these creatures happens to be a woman who is the wife of Lennie and George’s boss.
