It was a calm night in the peaceful neighborhood of Brentwood on June 12, 1994. That is until neighbors reported hearing a dog barking around 10:15 pm. A man by the name of Sukru Boztepe notice the dog, and when approached to inspect it, he saw it had red spots on its paw. These spots were soon traced back to Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Mr. Boztepe discovered the bodies of the individuals outside Nicole’s estate on June 13, 1994, at 12:10 am. Nicole Brown Simpson was Orenthal James, better known as O.J. Simpson ex-wife. Not long after the bodies were found O.J. Simpson become the number one suspect in the double homicide investigation.
On the day of the murders, Nicole and Simpson were both at their daughter's recital before going their separate ways. Nicole when to Mezzaluna with her family. They rung at the gate, however, no one answered so they decided to climb over the fence into the property. There they found Brian Kato Kaelin who claimed to have heard three loud bangs. Detective Mark Fuhrman went to check , and he alone discovered a matching black glove like the one found at the crime scene. This evidence gave the detective a reason to believe O.J. was involved in the murders.
O.J. Simpson was a prominent figure in the late 1960s for his football career as a running back. In 1985 he married American-German actress Nicole Brown Simpson. They eventually had two children named Sydney and Justin. When O.J. began as a suspect in Nicole and Ron's murder, the public opinion was deeply divided in California due to the history of the LAPD.
