After six months of work experience as a Sales Trainee with Toyota, one of the leading automobile manufacturing companies in the world, I want to return to academic studies and undertake graduate studies in Industrial engineering at Oklahoma State University.
After I started working with Toyota, many people were curious to know why I am working in the Sales department in the automotive industry when in fact I have a professional degree in a technical field of Electronics engineering ? I told them that I did not want to restrict myself purely to Electronics. I underwent a surgery after being kept on traction for a month in the hospital post which I was advised bed rest and physiotherapy exercises. This left me with excessive workload in terms of assignments and practical coursework due to which I had limited time to prepare for my university examinations. As a result I have a year gap in my undergraduate studies. But I believe I embraced the situation and took it upon myself to resurrect the situation. Having always had a mathematical aptitude, most recently reflected in my GRE quantitative score of 163, I am particularly excited to be working on various techniques of mathematical sciences like mathematical modelling and statistical analysis to arrive at optimal solutions to complex problems.
