Old Testament Main Events The Old Testament list many events that could be classified as main events. There are a lot of things that stick out as being significant events or highlights in history. Choosing a few of the many events from the Old Testament and classifying them as main events, is a hard task to complete since there are so many. The Creation, The Great Flood and the Ten Commandments are a few that are commonly talked about and discussed. What did creation involve? How did God decide to make Adam and Eve? Who was the first person on the earth? I asked these questions a lot at church and to people I know, and the answer I always get is “God, of course”. Well then how did God get here? We are to respect our parents because God chose them for us. The sixth commandment is thou shall not commit murder. The seventh commandment is you shall not commit adultery. The eighth commandment is you thou shall not steal. This commandment does not just mean do not rob someone, but do not take from another person or lie to receive things such as food stamps or Tenn care. These are services that you are stealing from if not needed and you give false information. The ninth commandment is thou shall not bear false witness. When a person gives their word there should be no doubt of their honesty. The tenth commandment which is the last, is thou shall not covet. The world pretty much revolves around these commandments, whether known or not. These commandments protect us and let us know that punishment will come if these commandments are broken. In conclusion, all of these events were milestones in what has made the world into what is today. Without Creation we would not be here, without The Great Flood the world would have been overrun by evil, and without the Ten Commandments laws would have never been set in place and justice would not be served. These events allow us to analyze our own
