Why the Olympic Training Center? The Olympic Training Center; a place where the best of the best go to train for fencing, gymnastics, judo, modern pentathlon, shooting, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wrestling. People may be wondering why train at the Olympic Training Center when there are so many other facilities you could go to train at. The people who train there are world and Olympic Champions. The new trainees will be training with the best partners in the world. The coaches who coach there have coached these world and Olympic Champions to greatness and have got them where they are today. When visitors enter the premises they see a circular shaped building.

Traning in this training center is a privilege especially if the trainee is not on a world or Olympic team. One of the biggest sports in the Training Center is Wrestling. They are also the most Welcoming. All over the walls in their training Center they have pictures of past cadet, junior, and senior wrestling world champions that were on the U.S. World Teams. There were also pictures of past Olympic gold medalist. The Cadet World Team consists of mainly middle school and 9th grade wrestlers, the Junior World Team consists of mainly high school wrestlers, and the Senior World Team consists of mainly college wrestlers. This is because people of all ages can do it and be apart of it. It adds disciplines and responsibility to their lives that parents love. A quote stated by Dan Gable is, “ Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy.” Wrestlers live by this quote and prove it to people everyday. Many college football coaches around the United States of America actually require their players to wrestle or to have had wrestled in their high school years because it is shown that wrestlers have better physical skills, a better mental toughness, and more physiological skills. Wrestlers have more physical skills because wrestling is the most physically sport out there. Wrestlers have better mental skills because they have to deal with weight management and they need the mental toughness to be able to walk out on the wrestle mat alone with no teammates to help them win they also have many other thing they have to conquer mentally. Lastly wrestlers contain physiological skills,for example hand eye coordination, proprioception, and anaerobic conditioning which are essential for wrestling. Proprioception is the ability to sense the position and location and orientation and movement of the body and its parts. All this discipline that wrestlers need to have helps wrestlers have better grades in school which parents love. It also helps them be more mentally tough enough to do and love the sport of
