Omaha Steaks Omaha Steaks International, Inc., also known as Omaha Steaks, produces, markets, and distributes steaks, gourmet foods and red meats. Omaha Steaks started its first retail store in Omaha in the year 1976 when purchasing a product from the company was restricted to eating at few restaurants that sold their products, or ordering meats from its mail-order catalog. Omaha Steaks went through another extension phase in the 1980s and 1990s, consolidating administration and marketing in two latest buildings. In 1985 the company started doing business beyond Nebraska, launching retail store in Houston. Omaha Steaks now has over 85 retail stores in 29 states. One more part where Omaha Steaks strived on expanding was its corporate sales unit, which it extended ahead in the mid-1990s. Omaha Steaks started a separate corporate catalog that was aimed on corporate buyers who were previously customers. The endeavor soon started to pay off for Omaha Steaks.
