The last person I interviewed was Omari Williams. A A&R at Atlantic Records. An A&R stands for artists and repertoire. Omari position is to discover new talents such as songwriters, and recording artists. Today, many believe that they are not important. In my opinion, if it weren’t for the people like Omari Williams who discovers certain talents, then the world wouldn’t know the amazing talent(s). As I started interviewing Mr. Williams he gave me a brief summary of the duties he do a day. One of them is being on the Internet on social sites such as YouTube, twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. That being said, it makes them comfortable to be sign with a label that does not discriminate, and appreciates more than one genre of music. This is also one of the main reasons Omari decided to work for them. He believes the company knows how to develop an artist and help them grow. It was awesome to see how joyful and excited he was telling me about his position there. It felt very genuine and sincere. I can tell he worked so hard for this and I admire that. All interviews exceeded my expectations. Although, I wished to hear more from Omari Williams. My favorite interview has to be Diana Milosh. She was so passionate and opened with me. It felted amazing to know someone is rooting for me to chase my dreams and excel in life. My interview with Mr. Sachs was amazing as well. It was cool to interview someone who was successful without fully completing a four-year degree. My final interview was more intriguing than the other two.
