Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury is about a world in the future where books are outlawed and everything is censored. “Firemen”, burn any books that are found and those who are in possession of the books are arrested.
There is an ancient greek myth about a trojan princess named Cassandra. She was cursed by the god Apollo for rejecting his affection. Her curse was that she could foresee the future but no one would believe her predictions. She saw the fall of her empire and her own death, but no one took her warnings seriously. It can be said that Ray Bradbury is a sort of “Cassandra”. He produced a surplus amount of predictions for the future that have been carried out already.
