I steeped out of the bed,the light blinding me until I sunk under the warm blankets. Then I noticed that Soda was not in bed. I jumped up and ran in the kitchen; but he wasn’t there so I ran to Darry's room and there was no sign of him. Then I noticed a sign that said there was no school today. So I hopped in the shower put on clothes and went down to talk to Two-Bit Matthews for a little while. As I knocked . two bit came out and said'' lord phonyboy it's colder than an ice cube out there.
