Adoption to me, is a very good thing to do and help others that are in need of a family. Also women not being able to have children is a great opportunity to start a family by adopting children at any age. There is lots of controversy over having an open adoption meaning letting the child’s biological parents visit him or her or a closed adoption meaning not letting the child know anything about their biological parents, maybe even lying to them and telling them that they aren’t adopted. Is having an opened adoption better than a closed adoption?
In an adoption, people like to tell you that it is best to adopt a child that is still a baby so they you don’t have to struggle later o in life and questions about being adopted. Adoption is a very long process and can be stressful. Overall adoption is a great way to help others and possibly yourself. You may go through some problems with the child you adopt. At a certain age, some children figure out that they are adopted which brings up many questions to the adopted parents. Having an open adoption can be very nice for the child to learn about their parents, family, possible brothers and sisters and have some questions answers. Some down turns to it would be having the child like their biological parents more than you or maybe more interested and may want to be with them instead of the adopted parents. Also, it could be bad if you find the parents and they have issues or aren’t in the best health to have their biological child visit them.
