1. In the research study, What Exactly Is an Unusual Sexual Fantasy?, Joyal, Cossette, & Lapierre (2015) aimed three goals. Their first goal was to recruit particpants from the general population that was moderately large and use a questionnaire that was validated, comprehensive, and objective. This goal of this method was to statistically define what was considered rare, unusual, common, and typical sexual among the general population. The second goal was aimed to use the questionnaire to statistically estimate and compare the nature and prevalence of interest of themes that aise in the context of sexual fantasies. Researchers required an open-ended response from the participants to freely define what was their favorite sexual fantasy in order to determine a statistical point of sexual fantasies within a large sample group in a broad and unbiased way. There are significant differences between men and women for specific sexual fantasies (p. 7 table 2). Based on the statistical analyses in the given study the 3 most common sexual fantasies for woman are: the romantic feelings that exist during sexual relations with one’s partner, factors associated in atmosphere and location during SF, and the fantasy of engaging in sexual fantasies in a romantic location.
