Oprah; Most influential woman in history
“When you undervalue what you do, the world will undervalue who you are” (Oprah). Oprah Winfrey is a talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is mostly known for “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Oprah has many accomplishments and was very well known, but her fame and influence did not come without a challenge. Oprah is one of the most influential women in the world, and she has been able to reach people from multiple places and help them.

One is that she had a talk show called “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. The show ran for 25 seasons and was a huge success. It was reported that the show averages an estimated 7, 14, and 15–20 million viewers a day in the United States (PebbleGo). She was in the movie “The Color Purple.” This movie was directed by Steven Spielberg. She has also formed a tv company called Harpo productions. To add on, she has opened a $40,000,000 school for disadvantaged girls in South Africa. As you can see, Oprah has done amazing things!
It has been made apparent, Oprah Winfrey has done very great things. Even though she didn’t have the best childhood she didn't let that affect her. She also at a very young age worked as a local speaker and she worked for radio shows. Oprah has also said she credits her success to her upbringing and her resilience.
Oprah has inspired me in multiple ways. She has built schools for disadvantaged kids, she is a TV host, and she owns her own TV production. One of the most important things I've learned about Oprah was how she was raised. Even through all the struggles she still pushed through and became the first black woman to be a billionaire. She has left very big shoes to fill. She not only became the first black woman billionaire but she also is one of the most influential woman in history.
