This essay I have decided to write about Oprah Winfrey. This is because Oprah had many serious life events. These life events must have implemented her key development stages or the other. Oprah Winfrey is as American entrepreneur and a popular talk show host. She was born on January 29 1954 in Kosciusko Mississippi. She was the result of a broken teenage relationship and teenage pregnancy so as you can imagine it had quite an impact on her development as she grew up. Against all odds she became a very successful woman and is currently worth 2.8 billion USD. Physical development from infancy (0-2) Oprah’s mum was an unmarried teenage mother so Oprah spent the first six years of her life in poverty. This was an economic factor that would have had a negative effect on her physical development because poverty could mean lack of food and malnutrition. This could have meant that she was underweight at tender age of her physical development. Children in this life stage with families living in poverty can sometime have diseases caused by malnutrition. These include diseases such as rickets which is caused by a lack of vitamin D.
