My career
The career or pathway that i am interested is a Optometrist . the job description of an optometrist is to perform vision test and analyze results and when the test they diagnose sight problems which is known as nearsightedness or farsightedness and also things like eye diseases like glaucoma and other known diseases . other things that optometrist also known as a eye doctor prescribes eyeglasses and contact lenses and also important medications and a eye they also look at the inside of the eye so they can make sure that your optic nerve sends messages to your brain and if there is any cutting on your eye they will perform surgry on it for you . it your are exeperiancing weak vision they …show more content…

And it also saysthat enable to get any certification you have to dedicated your self as a optometrist or in other words a eye doctor and you have to be able you do what your coaches and teachers taught you while you were in school. It also says that you have to be able to keep up with new developments and use the body of knowledge so you can perform good quality for the patient that you are working with in your department . in order to get your licence you have to fully complete the pre professional and undergraduate education at a college university of your choice and you also have to do a four year full course of professional optometry . also . The things that you have to have for an optometry is a doctoral program which includes a bachelor's degree and completion of the Optometry Admission Test given by the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry. People should make sure that they complete courses in biology, calculus, laboratory science, physiology and chemistry. So you basically need a doctoral degree to get your license for the optometrist job. Optometrists must complete a course of a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree program and you have to obtain a license to practice in a particular state. O.D. programs take 4 or more years to complete depending on the level of education that you want , and also most students have a bachelor’s degree before entering such a program need to get your license to get your licence
