The following is 3 different colleges that I have looked at in the past 2 years and are going to be the examples of what I think are great options for good universities to go to. Oregon State University The first college I have in mind for my future is OSU. Oregon State is a public school and funded by the government. OSU is a very well-rounded school in Corvallis Oregon which is only about ten minutes from here but about 50 minutes from my home in Dallas. For living purposes it would probably be easier to live on campus because of the drive. It is considered a very safe environment. The total number of students is 30,058 with 25,075 of them being undergraduate students. OSU is incredibly well known for their engineering …show more content…

George Fox offers 40 majors and 45 minors to all undergraduate students. As well as a few other majors for graduate students. The average high school GPA going into George Fox is 3.59 and the average SAT test score is 1,616. One extra thing that is not usually required is they will specifically ask to see your SAT score for your application which in most public schools is just a recommendation. Also another interesting fact about George Fox University is that they have absolutely no fraternities or sororities. The 4-year graduation rate of George Fox University is 54% and the 6-year graduation rate is 69%. But almost 2nd behind the graduation rate for some extreme kids are sports. George Fox has 17 different sports teams just the same as OSU. George Fox is in the NCAA division 3 league for sports. The most recent addition to all the sports was …show more content…

Most well-known for its great football program. The university consists of 20,559 undergraduate students on a 295 acre campus. Although I must say right off the bat I am indeed a ducks fan, but I of all people know that the area of the campus is not the best and there is a bit of a crime area from being there and Otis will definitely back me up. The University of Oregon is located in Eugene, Oregon which is about 1 hour and 22 minutes away and that is not going to happen. Living that far away and would have to live on campus to go to school. Oregon has an acceptance rate of 74.9%. Requirements are very similar to Oregon State University in that you must graduate high school with 15 passing classes. 48% of the students at University of Oregon are male and 52% of students on campus are female with 20% of all the students living on campus. There are 30 different fraternities and sororities on campus as well with a freshmen retention rate of
