Orpheus and Eurydice
Greek Mythology teaches us morals and values, and it shows us the purpose of the stories. Myths are stories that teach people that everybody has motivations for their actions. In the story of Orpheus and Eurydice makes him go down to the underworld ruled by Hades the most cold hearted god, but Orpheus brings his wife back.

The story of Orpheus and Eurydice begins with Orpheus, has the ability to charm all living things, Orpheus’s singing and playing were so beautiful that animals and even trees and rocks moved about him in dance. He was the son of a muse, and a king of Thrace, in which Apollo gives Orpheus his first lyre, the instrument used to make Orpheus play his music with. Orpheus married Eurydice, who was soon killed by a bite of a serpent. With grief, Orpheus ventured himself to the land of the dead, to attempt to bring Eurydice back to life. His music and charms of his lyre moved Hades, king of the Underworld, that Orpheus was allowed to take Eurydice with him back to the upper world. These devotees of Bacchus women were, Maenads, and in their drunken frenzy they threw stones and branches at Orpheus, but the beauty of his music stopped the missiles, as they were being fired towards him. The women began to attack Orpheus with their hands, shredding him apart. The head of Orpheus and his lyre were cast into the river of the Hebrus, where they still gave out mournful music as they flowed into the sea, and landed on the isle of Lesbos.
