Osama Bin Laden: The Promoter of Death to Americans Osama Bin Laden was indisputably evil, as he found pleasure in murdering thousands of American civilians who did not even know his name. He was an Arab terrorist who established Al-Qaeda and the man responsible for the horrific events that took place on September 11, 2001, in New York City. He planned an attack which resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent Americans. Osama Bin Laden was a villain because he chose to be evil and went to any extent to expose and defeat not just his enemies, but took countless lives and wished death upon innocent people as well. He was a good leader in the minds of his people and the Holy Quran, but he was also the chief of a terrorist organization …show more content…

He was motivated by the belief that the U.S. foreign policy had harmed, killed, and oppressed his people, so Bin Laden set out to terrorize them in return. He justified his horrific actions with this quote from his holy book, “Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged and surely, Allah is able to give them (believers) victory" (Quran 22:39). Bin Laden as well as the rest of his people were strong in faith and would have done anything to please Allah. He claimed that he was given permission to retaliate against the United States because they had hurt him and his people first. Bin Laden was very loyal to his beliefs in the sense that he wasn’t content with other people trying to take his power away, but his loyalty and desire for acceptance from Allah lead him to become desperate and attack. According to World Atlas, the 9/11 attack in New York City was the worst terrorist attack in history, but for Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, it was a day to celebrate. This attack was designed with intelligence and the goal to kill as many people as possible. It ended up creating the highest death toll from a terrorist attack ever recorded. Bin Laden was successful with his plan to devastate America by killing thousands of innocent people. Only a villain would want to cause this much destruction and pain to anyone, regardless of what initiated the attack. A couple years prior to this attack, Osama called for a worldwide Islamic jihad, or a holy war, a war fought for religion. His goal was to kill Christians and Jews because they did not share the same religious beliefs as him and the people of Al-Qaeda. He believed that his actions would make Allah proud, but that does not justify the murder
