Have you ever wondered how truck drivers can drive for so long without stopping? Truck driving can’t be easy. They stop at truck stops to eat and sleep, and then they are on the road again. Imagine how much time can be saved and how much quicker deliveries can be made if they did not stop. Well Otto is trying to change that quicker than you think. “Otto” also known as AutoMotive is a company trying to create Self Driving Trucks. They can make deliveries and go long distances without having to stop. Otto is a San Francisco based company. The company started in a small garage by Lior Ron and Anthony Levandowski. As of August Otto has 90 employees working towards the goal of having self driven semi trucks. Otto was established in the month of January 2017. Otto was a company working with google maps until this past August. Uber bought Otto’ s company for 680 million big ones. Since Uber bought Otto it has given them 500 employees striving everyday to create. As of now there are only seven trucks being tested out on the road for Otto.
