Outback Steakhouse is an Australian themed restaurant that was first opened in Tampa, Florida in 1988. The company was founded by four friends that wanted to open their own restaurant that would stand out, which is why they made it Australian themed. The restaurant is a newly remodeled location with up-to-date décor. Looking around on the inside of the restaurant it is a very open space, with walls filled with pictures of kangaroos and other Australian animals. Looking at their menu there are a variety of different options to choose from including, appetizers, seven different types of steaks, seafood, chicken, and many deserts. Starting off I ordered the famous bloomin’ onion. The bloomin’ onion is one of their most famous appetizers, it is an onion cut into the shape of a flower with little bite size pieces making it easy to dip and eat. I thought the bloomin’ onion was priced a little high considering its size, but it was delicious and the perfect amount for two. It is a wood-fired grilled chicken breast topped with mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar cheese, all the things I love, with french fries and macaroni as sides. The food was very well presented on the plate and came out nice and hot. I loved the way the macaroni came out because instead of coming out in a plain white dish it came out in a small, black, cast iron skillet to keep it nice and warm. I loved the flavor that the bacon, mushrooms, and cheese gave to the chicken; the chicken was a little burnt on the bottom, but not enough to stop eating. The french fries were delicious, they were cooked to a crisp and salted perfectly. The macaroni on the other hand was well cooked, but not my favorite. The macaroni was over peppered and something I probably wouldn’t order
