Outline What theme is Edgar Allan Poe alluding to in the story The Tell Tale Heart? Choose two ore more literary devices to demonstrate how Poe does this. Title- Madness it is Introduction Do you know if you are mad or not? The tell-tale heart is a short story by revolutionary writer Edgar Allan Poe. This story consists of three main characters; the narrator, the old man and the police officers. This story tells us about a mad man that kills an old man just because the old man’s eye was disturbing and eventually how this man leads himself to confessing his crime to the police officers.
