1. What is Affirmative Action: Affirmative Action is a strategy who favors members of a group who currently or historically have suffered from discrimination within a culture, such as slavery. This program was designed to fix discrimination problems. 2. Who suffers from discrimination? Discrimination of women is still a real problem in today’s society. Women are rising having jobs in more powerful positions, but it have not been easy. Although women are rising there is still a twenty percent pay gap between men and women working in the same field. Also years ago many people were put through slavery. Although there is no slavery in today’s society, there is discrimination against those who ancestors went through it. Affirmative Action plan of action If our establishments have 50 or more employees we must develop a plan of action. It must be developed within 120 days from the commencement and updated annually. Everyone in the establishment must be included in the Affirmative action program except any employee who works in the establishment under another person and when there is fewer than 50 employees. 5. Initiate Affirmative Action Plan How I will initiate the Affirmative action plan in our organization by added every employee in the program regardless of the amount of people.
