One of the aforementioned situations that Scout and Jem can apply empathy to is during the trial of Tom Robinson. -Introduce the idea you will be discussing and highlight in blue 2. While Jem and Scout were talking one night, Jem said, “Scout, I think I’m beginning to understand something.
