Analysis:
Mom: She’s the type of mom that’s chill but if anybody does anything wrong she’s on top of your head. She wants the best from you. Dad: He’s a guy that, doesn't like to listen to what other people has to say when it comes to his health. But is always there for you. JB: He’s better at basketball than his twin brother. He’s a bit cocky because he knows he’s better than everyone. But he also gets jealous when his brother finds the “ love of his life”

Their dad used to play in the NBA. Throughout the story, JB and his brother learned that it’s not always about winning. JB and his brother wanted to get better at basketball and so did their dad. Dad used to play for the lakers but his season ended early due to an injury. Mom wants dad to take care of himself and so does his sons but he doesn't listen and kind of lets go of his health. Something big happens and it makes the family rethink what the priorities are. Jb and Jordan learn that winning isn't everything.
To conclude, The crossover by Kwame Alexander is about twin boys who learn that winning isn't everything. As a family something happens to them and it makes them rethink what’s important and what’s not. Mom is cool but is in your head about the little things. Dad loves his family but loses track of his health. JB is better at basketball but he is also the jealous type. Jordan is also good at basketball but loses track of what matters more because he gets a girlfriend who occupies his time. “ In the game of life, your family is your court and the ball is your heart, No matter how good you are, no matter how down you get, always have your heart on the
