The Adventures of Ulysses tells about the heroes return home from the Trojan War. One universal theme that applies to this myth is the idea of overcoming obstacles in order to achieve a goal. Three problems that Ulysses has to overcome to reach his goal of returning home are Circe, the Sirens, and Scylla and Charybdis. One of the conflicts he faced was that his men were turned into pigs. Who turned them into pig was the dreadful daughter of the sun Circe. She got them to come up into her room.
