History has repeated itself countless times and we’ve learned from it. The book in Hiroshima relates to this subject. The past helps us prepare for the future.

Hiroshima was devastating , especially for the citizens. The book helps the readers know how much damage the bomb caused. In John Hersey’s book “Hiroshima” this quote just shows the pain and suffering of what these people went through in Hiroshima, “ Mr.Tanimoto found about twenty men and women on the sand spit. He drove the boat onto the bank and urged them to get aboard. They did not move and he realized that they were too weak to lift themselves. He reached down and took a woman by the hands, but her skin slipped off in huge glove like pieces.” (65)

Japan in today’s time wants
