This painting shows that this was a happy point in time because she is smiling in the portrait(doc. a).
One way paintings demonstrate this is the difference between the Mona Lisa and Madonna Enthroned Between Two Angels. The older painting, Madonna Enthroned Between Two Angles, is unrealistic and has rather depressing dark colors. While the Renaissance painting, the Mona Lisa, is not only much more realistic, but also a lot more cheerful, brighter feel, and became a true masterpiece (Doc A). In the paintings, the fact the Renaissance painting is brighter, more realistic and a famous masterpiece, shows that the Renaissance changed the art style into a unique, amazing representation that changed the entire future of art. The paintings from the Renaissance showed that people saw each other differently than before( Doc A).
Viewing the painting, brightens the light in the artwork. There is a sense of reality as the light seems to move through the clouds. The faces of the characters are shown by light and there is an effect of light moving by walking in front of the scene. Emotions are evoked when one looks at this scene. Both of the pictures despiting that they are from different time and location still tries to include Humanism, Individualism, and Secularism. Humanism is portrayed in the Mona Lisa and The Peasant ’s Wedding really well because the artists managed to illustrate the person/people in their everyday lives. Also Individualism is portrayed well in both arts because in the Mona Lisa, there is only one person who is been illustrated.
The artwork I choose for Renaissance was The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci. This artwork has been taken from the Italian High Renaissance and it is from the scene from the bible and not forgetting its media is tempera which is famous during the Renaissance period. Why I chose this painting is because it shows linear perspective that is everything is pointing towards the head of Christ. It is also approximately symmetrical balance. It shows that it is roughly balanced on both sides.
