Thesis statement: There are many diets on the market today, but the Paleo diet is by far the best diet to use based on history, to lose weight, manage your health and to see long term benefits in your overall lifestyle. It is based on a very simple premise which is that if the cavemen didn’t eat it then you should not eat it either. In 1913, Joseph Knowles began conducting an experiment where he lived in the wilderness and ate like our ancestors during the Stone Age. When he returned two months later, he was leaner, stronger and healthier. Later, in 1975, a gastroenterologist named Walter L. Voegtin came up with the term “paleodiet” while writing a book named “The Stone Age Diet”. Many Americans do not pay attention to the types of over processed foods that they ingest.
