The name Charles Manson would become synonymous with evil after his trial in 1970. Charles Manson could be described as an energetic person who would hide his resentment and hostility behind a façade of superficial ingratiation. His family members would say that he had “Christ-like” characteristics and that nobody would question his authority. He was known to have assaultive and homosexual tendencies and led a cult following that he called the Manson “family” members. His mother entered prison when he was only five years old for armed robbery, he then went on to spend most of his life in institutions. His criminal history began at thirteen for armed robbery. Manson’s early life was viewed as troubled due to these events. On trial, he stated that he’s never gone to school and has stayed in jail for most of his life. Sharon Tate’s family did have to often move all over the United States and Europe due to her father’s position in Army Intelligence. Sharon later grew up to become an actress and model, she immediately landed roles for Chevrolet commercials and modeling shoots. (Sharon Tate Offical Website n.d.) Sharon Tate made her last publicity photo in London for Queen Magazine. Shortly After returning to Los Angeles, she, her unborn child, along with three friends, were brutally murdered by Charles Manson’s cult family members. Charles “Tex” Watson was known as Manson’s right-hand man, with both of them being the brains on the ranch. Tex was tried separately from Manson for the gruesome murder of Sharon Tate. He was described by his neighbors as “the boy next door” type and was a good student in high school. Tex eventually ended up dropping out of college in 1965 and was a part of the Manson “family” by 1967. (Linder n.d.) Watson was later convicted of the first-degree murder of Sharon Tate and
