The end of World War 1 left a big impact in economy. So, they decided to shift place to the economy transitioned from wartime production to peacetime production. They started that by running the economy to a better condition. Henry Ford’s company produced automobile and the latest of those product is the new Model T which were sold cheaply so many American could afford them. As a result, State funded programs to build roads and highways which changed the America’s landscape.
One thing that changed was the foreign policies. Many things played a role in these changes and the way the U.S handled it. From the Westward Expansion and The Spanish-American War to World War I and II. These events caused the United States to take things into consideration and do some renovations.
In a time where suffering took place to gain suffrage, women were willing to make any sacrifice necessary to achieve equality. In America during the 20th century, tensions were high between many societal groups and classes. During that time, justice and equality were familiar yet misunderstood concepts to many Americans, and change was forthcoming. Societal change is the shift from night to day, and from day back to night; unavoidable and frequent. One such unavoidable change was the suffrage for all genders, races, religions, and free peoples in the United States of America.
The change grew out from the North to the South. The War of 1812 was a pivotal part during this time which made South realize the potential of Industrial Revolution. This increase in labor and industry brought United States to a new picture for economy and commerce, also marking the start of United States global increase in power and
ome significant reform movements that impacted society were Labor reform and women's rights. In the 1900’s, particularly 1910 women were not respected and seen as second-class citizens. Woman were brought up as children to learn to serve others and focus on the men before there own. They were expected to be full time wives and mothers, and not having an option on how to live. Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul, Lucy Stone, and Ida B. Wells are some of the woman who started reforms for woman suffrage.
The Progressive Era lasted from the 1890’s to the early 1920’s. It was centralized around socialism and political reform. One of the major changes that took place during this era, was the labor legislation. Many workers were working long shifts, for several days straight, making their work life just about unbearable, and unworkable conditions. The job environment had become to where it was unsafe, unsanitary, and unregulated conditions for very low wages.
The early 20th century had a remarkable impact on human kind, creating ripples in the continuum of history that are still felt in modern times. The biggest and by far the most remarkable event was World War 1. It's main trigger being the assassination of Archduke Franz the war began tragic and tense. In an attempt to prevent Germany from becoming too powerful, other European joined powers for what was to be an exhausting and long battle of attrition. The war was essentially a huge chain of events, tracing back to the Franco-Prussian War and the actions of important people like Otto Von Bismarck.
There are far too many parallels between ancient Rome and modern America. It seems as if many people do not care enough about the path our country is headed down. Ethics and values have gone out the window, the government has doomed the working class, people have become violent, people are acting without fully thinking and war is constant. America needs a change before it is too late. Ethics and values have merely disappeared but when they are present they seem to be hypocritical.

Throughout history America has had hundreds of transformative events that have changed the course of history through political, economic, and sociocultural effects. The most significant events aren’t the ones everyone remembers for being exciting but rather the ones that have impacted society and individuals the most. Many of these events that have shaped America most profoundly include wars, presidents, supreme court decisions, but they also include such events such as natural disasters, fires, and even scientific findings. Each event has not only impacted the time period it was set in but also may even still be impacting our lives today. By studying and analyzing America’s history one can learn the struggles and triumphs of a young nation that became the superpower it is today.
The Progressive Era was a period of economic, political, and social reform in the United States. The era began in the 1890 's, after the severe depression of the Panic of 1893 was coming to a close, and ended when the United States entered World War I in 1917. The main objectives of the movement were eliminating problems caused by urbanization, immigration, industrialization, and corruption in government. At the end of the Progressive Era in 1917, the movement had successfully taken strides in expanding democracy and regulating the economy. The Progressive Era impacted the development of politics by requiring the government to step in and make changes, ultimately resulting in a stronger and more powerful direct democracy.
Education and technology changed in a massive way during the Cold War. This was because during the Cold War, the United States was on a race with the Soviet Union to get the best technology and one up each other in education, economy political influence, etc. Technology was also heavily influenced because of the War. Some of the things the Soviets and Americans invented weren 't expected for another couple of years and were way ahead of their time. Some of the things invented were Direct Distance Dialing, basic computer language, L.E.D lights, and our very first satellites.
How far was the New Deal a turning point in US history? The New Deal was made in response to a set of policies by Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) to combat issues caused by the global financial meltdown of 1929, initiated by the Wall Street Crash. This decade long historic financial downturn has been identified as the Great Depression (1929-1939). The New Deal focused on what people refer to as the ‘three R’s’:

As we can apprehend from this quote, our world can drastically change in just a hundred years. Our politics, economy, and society can even change dramatically in just a century. From the time between 1776 and 1870, the United States developed into a country expanding across North America from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean.
Technology began to rise when the World Wide Internet was introduced on August 6, 1991. Throughout the years people have been on the bend to make technology bigger and better. With the advancement of cell phones, fax machines, computers and televisions the way things were 20 years ago are so much different. Technology has made us see the world at a different angle.
