The architects for this extravagant Florida home are Marion Sims Wyeth and later Joseph Urban, with construction lasting only three years, from 1924 - 1927. Jefferson’s Monticello has an interesting history behind it. Jefferson was rather unimpressed with our nation’s architecture, as we see he vocalized often, putting down the architecture of Williamsburg as well as the structures across Virginia. They were not elegant, and often times copied that of England.

Built in 1705, the Colonial Williamsburg 's capitol had made decisions that have changed the history of the U.S. with years of work put in to validate it. In fact, many decisions by historical geniuses influenced history, and majorly affected our current rights and independence from Britain. In addition, guidelines left behind from the colonial age taught us how to maintain a fair government of which a democracy takes place. Also, Virginia would still be owned by Britain without the capitol. To add on, years of work in the capitol make today a better generation.
Versailles I. “You gaze, and stare, and try to understand…” quoted Mark Twain. The vast architecture of Versailles has silenced many with its history and astonishing views. Many see the beauty of the castle today and can hardly imagine the troubled land that was once there. Like Saint-Simon who saw Versailles before its growth, he said Versailles is” the gloomiest, most thankless place without a view.” It all started as a small cottage constructed by King Louis XIII in 1623.
This building was designed by Thomas Jefferson himself and is often called an “architectural masterpiece”. He started construction in 1769 with only the knowledge he had learned through books, but was inspired by Renaissance and Neoclassical works of architecture during his time as American Commissioner to France. Jefferson used his architectural prowess and his inventive mind to create this building and fill it with his inventions like hideaway beds, dumbwaiters, and swivel chairs("Monticello"). These two creations serve as examples that Thomas Jefferson

The Embassy is a Heritage listed site after being re-established 20 years after the original protest (Truscott, 2005). Because of this, the Embassy stands as a place where tourists, white Australians and Aboriginal Australians can go to further their understanding on Australias history as well as visit a significant historical site. The Embassy is also within another heritage listed site, this being the surrounding parliament house vista. The fact that the Embassy is within this area means it will gain more attention then it would if it was somewhere else. This extra attention gives a different demographic of people the chance to stop by and learn about a part of history they otherwise would never know about.
I chose to answer question four which says "What picture do we get about each person simply by a description of his or her hair?" Esperanza first describes her father or Papa‘s hair. She says "My Papa‘s hair is like a broom, all up in the air. " When picturing this in my mind I feel like her father doesn‘t really car about how his hair looks.
The need to memorialize events or people is complex; in some cases, monuments honor moments of great achievement, while in other cases, monuments pay homage to deep sacrifice. A monument 's size, location, and materials are all considerations in planning and creating a memorial to the past. In any case, the need to honor or pay homage to a specific person or event is prevalent within society. A monument has to mean something to the society it is place in. The location of a monument is perhaps the most important aspect of creating a successful monument to honor and show respect to a person or event.
Colonial Williamsburg shows life in the 1700’s as the Revolutionary war was heating up and how the different people went about their daily routines, along with showing architecture dating back to the 17 and 1800s. One of the most important buildings there is the Capitol, originally built in 1705, the Capitol is deeply entwined throughout Virginian history as a link to the colonial times when American colonists struggled to rise for independence. The Capitol had great importance during colonial times and still holds value with the citizens in Williamsburg and all over the country. It, also has a strong connection with the motto “That the future may learn from the past”. This building is deeply deserving of a commemorative coin because it held the Governor’s Council and the House of Burgesses, helped us learn tyranny was unjust, and was built by contractor Henry Cary who created the Wren building.

High Renaissance art, emerged in the 16th century, was characterized by the rebirth of Antiquity, the emphasis on human beauty and knowledge, the naturalistic depiction of body type and body proportion achieved by artists’ advanced study of science and anatomy. During this period, the popular ideology, individualism, praised talented individuals, so that many masters of art were appreciated by the society. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483-1520), known as Raphael, is one of those art masters who epitomized the characteristics of High Renaissance art.
